What is Junior Red Cross?
Do you know what is JRC? Have you ever heard about
its activities? JRC is Junior Red Cross, which is a student wing of Indian Red
Cross Society. What is Indian Red Cross? It is a humanitarian organization to
protect human life, which is based in India. Junior Red Cross is a
sub-organization of this.
Let’s see what are its activities. The main aim of
this organization is to grow helping mentality in students since they are the
members of JRC association. It is organized in schools with health, service and
friendship as basic principles. Several activities will be assigned to student
cadets so that they can develop their personality and humanity.
Better training will be given on safety, healthy
living and primary health care. All students will be trained to give first aid
to an injured person during an emergency situation. Several awareness classes
will be organized by this association to provide awareness to people regarding
viral diseases, preventions to this, road safety etc. As a part of social
service, jrc cadets often clean their nearby surroundings. Junior Red Cross
association usually organized several camps to donate blood, human parts like
heart, eyes etc. They also formed many free medical camps which is very helpful
to rural people.
This organization is formed in various schools in each district in Kerala. Now Junior Red Cross Kerala has developed a website. Now you are thinking about the need for a JRC website. Right?
